Maxine R. Maser, CPA
Maxine Maser joined Stanilla, Siegel and Maser in October, 1997 and became a shareholder in October, 1999. Prior to that, she acquired twelve years experience in public accounting with a mid-sized firm located in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. As an audit manager with that firm, she was responsible for performing audits in various industries including banking, coal, manufacturing, venture capital and pension plans. Her specialization was governmental and non-profit organizations. Although taxation has become an additional focus at Stanilla, Siegel and Maser, LLC, she still performs and supervises a considerable number of audits. She is responsible for all audits performed by the firm and for the quality control of the accounting and auditing practice of the firm.
Maxine has extensive experience working with government and non-profit organizations, including those which receive substantial amounts of State and Federal funding. She is familiar with both Program and Single Audits under OMB Circular A-133, including federal programs funded by the Department of Agriculture, Department of Education, Department of Defense, Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Justice, Department of Labor, Department of Commerce, the Small Business Administration and direct congressional funding. She additionally provides assistance to many small locally funded non-profit organizations, townships and boroughs.
In addition to holding a license as a certified public accountant in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, she held a designation as a Certified Government Financial Manager with the Association of Government Accountants for 20 years, which she gave up in 2016. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the Pennsylvania State University and has studied accounting at York College of Pennsylvania and the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. She has instructed various in-house courses on topics specifically related to government and non-profit organizations as well as attending outside educational conferences.
Maxine is a Lebanon native and is proud to be serving her community as Treasurer for the United Way of Lebanon County and a member of the board of the Lebanon County 4-H program.
